You can go from zero to your first AI Daily Brief in a single session. This guide walks you through creating an account, completing the onboarding wizard, and landing on the dashboard — where Forepost gets to work immediately.

Create your account

Go to app.forepost.ai and sign up. You can register with your work email and a password, or use a social sign-in option.Once you’ve authenticated, Forepost launches the onboarding wizard automatically.

Set up your workspace

In the first step of the wizard, enter your company name and select the support platform your team uses. The available options are Intercom, Zendesk, HubSpot, or Other.This tells Forepost the context it needs to frame your Daily Brief and board-facing content accurately.

Enter this week's metrics

Forepost asks for six key metrics. Have your support dashboard open alongside this so you can enter current figures accurately.

Weekly ticket volumeTotal tickets received this week, plus the percentage change vs last week (positive or negative)
CSAT scoreYour current customer satisfaction score as a percentage, plus the change in percentage points vs last month
First response timeYour average first response time in hours, plus the percentage change vs last week
AI deflection rateThe percentage of tickets deflected by AI, plus the change in percentage points vs last month
Open ticketsThe number of tickets currently open right now
Agent utilisationThe percentage of available agent capacity currently in use
Forepost uses these figures to generate your Daily Brief, populate the Metrics dashboard, and power the Board Pack and Headcount Calculator.

Add your agents

Add up to 8 agents to your team roster. For each agent, enter:
  • Name — the agent’s full name or display name
  • Weekly tickets handled — their ticket volume for this week
  • CSAT % — their individual customer satisfaction score
If an agent has a performance issue you want to track, toggle the flag for review option and add a short note. Flagged agents appear highlighted in the Team view on your dashboard.You don’t have to add all your agents now — you can update the roster any time in Settings.

Read your first Daily Brief

After completing all three wizard steps, Forepost takes you to the main dashboard and opens the Daily Brief section automatically.Your first AI-generated brief is ready immediately. It draws on the metrics and team data you just entered to give you a narrative summary of your support function’s current state — what’s going well, where the risks are, and what to prioritise today.From here, explore the other dashboard sections: Metrics, Team, Ask Forepost, Board Pack, and Headcount.
Your metrics aren’t locked to onboarding. Update them any time by going to Settings → Updating metrics. Forepost recalculates your Daily Brief and all other AI outputs the next time you load them.
