The Board Pack turns your Forepost workspace data into a structured executive report with a single click. Instead of spending an hour writing a CX update for leadership, you generate a professionally structured document that covers what’s working, what the risks are, and what you recommend — all grounded in your live metrics and team data. You can copy it as plain text and paste it directly into your board deck, leadership email, or weekly report.

What a Board Pack contains

Every Board Pack has five sections:

The structure is consistent so stakeholders know what to expect each time — and so you can compare board packs across reporting periods.
The Board Pack is generated from your live workspace data. The more current your metrics and team data, the more accurate and useful the output will be. Update your metrics in Settings → Update metrics before generating a pack for an important meeting.

Generating a Board Pack

Open the Board Pack view

Navigate to Board Pack in the sidebar.

Click Generate Board Pack

Press the Generate Board Pack button. The button label changes to Generating… while Forepost builds the report — this typically takes a few seconds.

Review the output

Read through each section. The Board Pack is a starting point — you can adjust emphasis or add context before sharing it with stakeholders.

Copying the Board Pack as plain text

Once a Board Pack has been generated, a Copy button appears. Clicking it copies a plain-text version of the pack to your clipboard, formatted as:

Paste this directly into an email, a Google Doc, a Notion page, or a slide deck. The plain-text format is designed to be readable without any formatting applied.

Regenerating a Board Pack

If you update your metrics or team data after generating a pack — or if you simply want a different framing — click Regenerate. Forepost runs a new generation against your current workspace data and replaces the existing output.
If you have an important board meeting coming up, update your metrics and team data first, then generate (or regenerate) your Board Pack immediately before the meeting. This ensures the output reflects the freshest possible picture of your support function.
